Astarotte no Omocha!

Tsun~ Tsun~♫ Dere~ Dere~  ♪ ~KYUN!
LOL, not really into the colorful childish feel anime but i like Romatic Comedies and cute little lolis in a non-sexual way so the anime community presented me with Astarotte no Omocha! if you’re expecting ecchi… sorry no ecchi here.

While job hunting, Naoya is taken by a mysterious girl to a magical land where he is installed in the harem of the succubus Princess Lotte. Thanks to trauma from her childhood, Lotte hates men and surrounds herself with lots of other women, who all have quirks of their own. In spite of her selfishness, when Naoya learns that Lotte is really quite lonely he agrees to stay in her world…if he can bring his daughter Asuha with him.

The story seems to be focused to the direct objective and the events that occur upon going after it. A lot of questionable things regarding the background stories and ongoing circumstances happening within the series. Astarotte no Omocha! does have a lot of scenes that gives of a romantic feel that gives some viewers “Chills to their bones”. Its pretty much a developing love story between a Tsundere and a Modest guy. As I’ve said, a lot of questionable things in the story, you tend to have a lot of those when you create a storyline involving “Other worlds” or magical instances, in short fantasy. Though canceling out questioning the structure of the story will in-fact make you feel better. Just focus on the comedic, love development side and you will like it.

I’ve got to admit my first impression of the series is a bit of a let down. I mean when presenting a series you don’t exactly show the unrealistic world that looks like it came from a children’s story. If you’re going to start of with the fantasy setting you have to at least make it so that the viewers would be amazed at the scenery.

Lolicon. Yes the anime does have Loli content but not in terms of lewd ecchi/hentai presentation but rather the characters half of the characters shown in this series are basically Lolis. Some might categorize this anime under Ecchi but in fact it is not. All the ecchi things are happening in your head. Just when you thought something ecchi is about to happen the anime will not show it to you so you will be the one to create the image in your head. that is the intent of the creators of the anime.

They could’ve designed a better Manor, they could’ve designed a better castle. Basically they did okay with the looks of the classroom, the human realm and the character designs (Although it might not be creative enough it’ll do). Okay here is a list of what sucks: The lizard dragon thing, The portal to enter worlds, The manor, the interiors of the castle, the main outfit of lotte… i mean its too revealing, sure she is a succubus but bare-back on a loli does not look good i’d prefer cute looking lolis in their cute little outfits that make them cute. Well even though lotte is a succubus it still doesnt mean she has to wear that sort of outfit. I remember a scene where she tried on a kidergarten look, that was sooo kawaii that i just want to nimunimunimunimu~ (See youtube for nimu nimu reference).

This is for those who didn’t have the intention to read what i have written before this section.

How does Astarotte no Omocha differ from other romantic comedy anime? It doesn’t
Some aspects are sloppy but its still a good watch, i kind of want a season 2. A lot of things are quite un clear so it might be best to get started on a second season.
