Weekly Episode/s – 1st Impressions

New Season means new Series! There are a-freakin-lot of great new Anime series however, I only checked out 4 Series to keep up with my “Busy” schedule. Truth be told I did went and saw more than four but some of those series i lost interest from their first episode alone so I decided to add them to my list of dropped anime. Now these 4 series got me to watch up until their fifth episode meaning it totally got my attention.

Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga

The list of new anime for each season isn’t complete without Borderline Hentai Series! hmm… I maybe wrong. Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga (man that’s a mouthful) is straight-up incest. They aren’t blood-related and they don’t have a thing for each other but what makes it incest is that there’s a ghost who forces the Imouto to… you know, do indecent stuff because if the Imouto doesn’t comply well she’s gonna die. Doesn’t make sense right? I don’t want to go on ahead and spoil the whole lot but the thing is that the ghost(Hiyori) wants to be with Yuuya (in a sexual kind of way/romantic kind of way). There’s a lot of stuff going on in this series not just the ecchi stuff but twists and turns here and there. Hiyori and Yuuya knows each other from when they we’re kids and apparently Hiyori decided she would want to be with Yuuya ever since that day and her obsession made her turn down every boy that confessed their love for her and continues on chasing Yuuya till the fateful day she gets hit by a freakin truck. yes and that is why she’s a ghost. Her story actually is the whole ending credits. I mean that’s like a good way of making people watch the credits. Instead of making it graphic(blood and stuff) they replaced Hiyori with like a cartoonish character look. and did a little spin dance as she gets hit by the truck its actually entertaining. Anyway Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga isn’t that popular just yet but its on its way.

Noragami when i first read the title I didn’t really thought I’d get hooked, I looked at the synopsis and i wasn’t at all interested. Why? I’m more of a slice of life, Romance, Drama kind of guy, but damn! i enjoyed the first episode so much. I’m somewhat of an atheist so when I watched it for the first time my reaction was “If gods were real, this is how they’d mingle among us.” -jokingly of course but still I found humor and well nice logic mixed with imagination like any good anime should have.

What is a soul and what is a spirit and whats does gods have to do with them. Heaven? Hell? Purgatory? how do you explain those things? well with a bit of creativity Noragami brings those thoughts to a much more logical understanding that of whats stated by religion. I’m getting off topic here talking about my religious point of views, sorry. The Anime is great, it doesn’t get boring in the first 10 minutes unlike some other series. Summarizing the first few episodes, gods aren’t at all high and fancy. Yato being a not-well-known god strives to become a successful god and by successful god i mean shrines, and offerings. In order to reach his dream he has to work. either menial jobs or a more godly job is to destroy phantoms that well basically causes bad things to people making them commit suicide.

Off the bat, D-Frag! is quite interesting, despite having harem in it like most Anime, It’s okay i guess. Like most anime in a way that there’s a club that’s about to be disbanded due to lacking members and the protagonist managed to be in the right place at the right time, establishing not only trust between the recruiter and the recruited but also a potential love interest. Now that it reaches the likelihood of a romance, enter the rival who then becomes another possible love interest. Though the plot is very generic and slightly overused D-Frag! maintained its originality by… well how does any Anime differ from each other even though the plot is slightly similar? Add unique characters, in this case one of the most unique characters i have seen in any anime series which when introduced will make you do a silent laugh with an open mouth in shock and amazement.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren

vlcsnap-2014-02-05-17h13m19s158Woot! the second season! truth be told I have no idea what they are gonna do for the second season. So as figured they continued on with everyday life but with Chuunibyou. As I watched each episode I felt embarrassed for them whenevery the Chuunibyou kicked in in public places. Specially with Morisummer, now that was totally embarrassing also Spoiler alert.  Isshiki and Rika are living together. A new character has emerged and she apparently gave isshiki Chuunibyou. Well new girl, with past experience with Isshiki, marks her as the Rival of Rikka which i think the story will revolve around that. Also After they have been going out for six months nothing romantic have happened! So nibutani and Kumin managed to make them– oooo i almost spoiled that one. Nevertheless Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai! Ren. Is a must watch if and only if you watched the first season and you are a fan. If you haven’t have those 2 requirements, nothing is going to make sense and you will just end up dropping the series unless you find it intriguing and decides to watch the first season.

Other stuff:

Well as you if you kept up over the past months, I was inactive for quite some time. Its due to gaming and college stuff, but mostly gaming. But seasons come and gone and like seasons, my gaming season has ended and I found myself back to well talking about anime. Though I wanted to do this for quite some time, I got lazy with the editing and stuff which just got me making so much draft posts of Anime Series i’ve watched over the months.

ALSO, Kuroko no basuke! everybody is like freakin hooked on this. I mean the latest episode, Everybody was in the freakin zone! literally!
